| Tyler Perry (left, as "Madea") has come to be known as one of the biggest success stories of Southern theatre and filmmaking. Originally from New Orleans, Perry moved to Atlanta at age 20. In this follow-up to his earlier hit, "Diary of a Mad Black Woman," Perry wrote, directed, produced, and stars in three roles (as "Madea," "Brian," and "Uncle Joe").
Blair Underwood (center, as "Carlos") is from Virginia, and Rochelle Aytes (right, as "Lisa") has family from Virginia.
The movie was shot in Georgia.
