"Mr. Brooks" (MGM)
William Hurt (l) and Kevin Costner (r)
Kevin Costner plays Earl Brooks, respectable businessman and family man by day, who has a deadly addiction by night.

The movie was shot in Louisiana, where Kevin also shot "The Guardian." Costner's no stranger to the South, however. He made the Durham Bulls big-marquee material when he starred in "Bull Durham," set in North Carolina; "JFK" was filmed in Dallas, New Orleans, and D.C.; and "The Big Chill," the pic where Kevin's part ("Alex") was mostly cut out but still provides the raison d'etre for the story, was shot in Beaufort, South Carolina.

Costner's fellow cast member from "The Big Chill," William Hurt, takes on the role of Marshall, the seducer into the dark side, in "Mr. Brooks."
